Our client’s brief:
We set out to design maintenance free, robust and ergonomically comfortable external seating and tables for students in this brand new, award-winning architectural masterpiece. We chose managed forest Teak and Corten steel for their zero maintenance requirements. Our design is a groundbreaking concept where we managed to support the surface slats with a clear break between, this allowed any debris to always fall through. This design was initially inspired by the architectural designs from the building. The furniture on the 7th floor was designed to follow the curving landscape design.
