Our client’s brief:

Our client approached us with the need for a more practical and productive kitchen, alongside a glazed area that was underutilised due to its cold temperature. We reimagined the space by installing appropriate insulation and underfloor heating, transforming it into a welcoming and functional area.

By reconfiguring the layout, we not only created a spacious dining area but also opened up access to the garden, making full use of the existing door. This adjustment allowed us to repurpose the original door, incorporating it into a clever design for the fridge and one of our large pull-out larders. This single, bold change gave us the room to design a comfortable and fully functional kitchen.

To complete the transformation, we exposed an internal brick wall, which added character, and enhanced the lighting with lime-oiled elm accents and plaster-in ceiling lights, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.
