Client: Rouken Glen Pavilion
Client Brief & Solution:
Rouken Glen Park Pavilion Refurbishment.
Invited to tender for a reception desk in the renovated pavilion building, we recognised the client’s interest in making the desk and pavilion representative of the park and it’s environmental and industrial history.
The design specified use of Sycamore, Lime and other timbers native to the park, these trees were being felled as part of their commitment to woodland management and the creation of a new walkway, we milled, dried and used these trees along with stone taken from the weir. The desk design included an access area for wheelchair users and floats flora, fauna and other items of interest in resin-filled pockets and sections of the desk.
